Size - 1200 sq M (Phase I - 1998) 5535 sq M (Phase II - 2006)
In 1998, as part of the first phase of the Reliance Greens Township at Jamnagar, a 1200 sq M Medical Centre for Family Welfare had been established. It catered to basic healthcare, diagnostics, and emergencies of the staff and their families.
In 2006, with the expansion of the Township to over 6000 Homes, the need arose to upgrade this medical support to a Mini Hospital. The challenge however was to ensure that the 5535 sq M expansion seamlessly stitches the existing facility into itself, and plans for further growth of up to 7500 sq M in the future.
Courtyards were used as the key element that organized the plan, differentiated the functions, and ensured that natural light & greenery are universally enjoyed all across the facility.
The Centre houses 40-beds in various levels of care, ICUs, Trauma & Emergency Centre, Operation Theatres with Tele-medicine connectivity, OPD, Diagnostic and Rehab Areas etc. – making among the most advanced and state-of-the-art facility in the entire district. The growth plans allow the Centre to be expanded up to 100-beds, with proportionate augmentation of the medical support facilities.
